Monstera Deliciosa

These tropical plants are one of the most popular on the market right now. Their large perfectly green fenestrated leaves can make your space feel like you are on a tropical vacation. One of our favorite things to do is watch a new Monstera Deliciosa leaf unfurl, and because they are such fast growers, its quite often you can catch a new, light green baby making an appearance. These plants grow exceptionally large, up to 10 feet and can be easily propagated with a cutting.

Monstera Deliciosa does not produce fenestrations until the plant has matured. It usually takes about 5-6 leaves to appear before you will begin to see any fenestration at all. If your plant is not receiving enough sunlight or is not being well cared for this process may take longer.

Light: Monstera Deliciosa will thrive in medium to bright indirect light but can tolerate lower light spaces. Avoid direct sunlight to ensure leaves do not become scorched. Remember, because the leaves of this plant are so large, the collect dust easily. Make sure to keep the leaves clean to optimize photosynthesis.

Water: Monstera like to dry out between watering and enjoy a good deep drink when watered.

Humidity: Monstera Deliciosa love humidity. Unless you live in a very humid environment, we recommend adding moisture to your space. Some ways to do this is with a pebble tray, grouping your tropical plants together, or with a humidifier.
