Philodendron Red Congo

Philodendron Congo Rojo plant is a fast-growing philodendron that you don't see every day. With its interesting, red-colored new foliage that starts off as copper-red, then transitions to a deep emerald green on striking red stems it constantly changing and evolving. This is a hybrid of a Philodendron Imperial Red and a Philodendron Tatei. Unlike most Philodendron this plant is not climbing and will not require a pole or trellis. They can grow to be quite large reaching about 4 feet in height. If you're looking for a large tropical plant that will give you a pop of color you've found your match. 

 Light: Medium to bright indirect light is best for the Philodendron Red Congo. They can tolerate short periods of direct sunlight in the morning or evening. 

Water: As most Philodendron, let these dry out almost completely between watering. They do not like to sit in soggy soil and do not allow your plant to sit in water. Although over watering is the main concern here, do not leave soil completely dry for long periods of time, this will harm your plant as well. 

Humidity: Philodendron do not tend to be picky about humidity, but they are tropical plants and will thrive best in higher humidity conditions.
