Rhaphidophora decursiva - Dragons Tail
The emerald green foliage of these tropical beauties has us dreaming of dragons! As the plant matures its leaves will develop large fenestrations making it even more reminiscent of the dragons tail it is named for.
The Rhaphidophora decuriva is a relatively rare, vining plant that will grow quickly given the right conditions. Give the Dragons Tail a totem to climb and it will happily grow larger, more fenestrated leaves and start to look like a climbing palm.
LIGHT: The Dragons Tail can be tolerant of low light but will grow quickly given medium to bright indirect light.
WATER: Avoid over-watering, water only when the top 1-2 inches of the soil is dry, then water thoroughly till water drains through the drainage holes.
HUMIDITY: A little extra humidity looks good on this Rhaphidophora, if your space is dry consider a pebble tray or a humidifier.
Please note that Rhaphidophora are toxic to animals and children
